The exhibition shows works from many well known Latvian artists, whose works are considered to be challenging and intriguing. This is also the first attempt in LV art history when the social and economical context of LV art are also in the centre of attention, not just the art and ideas, like it usually tends to be.
Artists exhibited: Ritums Ivanovs, Gints Gabrāns, Arturs Bērziņš, Ēriks Apaļais, Ilmārs Blumbergs, Kristaps Ģelzis, Diāna Adamaite, Džemma Skulme, Jānis Avotiņš, Sigita Daugule, Ginters Krumholcs, Māris Upzars, Krišs Salmanis, Ieva Iltnere, Laura Prikule un Eva Vēvere, Andris Eglītis, Sandra Krastiņa, Daiga Krūze, Biruta Baumane, Linda Kozule, Imants Lancmanis, Aija Zariņa, Laima Puntule, Vineta Kaulača, Anna Heinrihsone, Laura Feldberga, Ernests Kļaviņš, Ivars Heinrihsons, Miķelis Fišers, Pēteris Taukulis, Reinis Pētersons, Māris Bišofs, Inga Meldere, Kaspars Podnieks, Māris Subačs, Edvards Grūbe, Barbara Gaile, Kristians Brekte, Kaspars Zariņš, Līga Purmale, Aigars Bikše, Jānis Kupčs, Izolde Cēsniece, Ivars Drulle.
The exhibition works were chosen by exhibition curator Inga Steimane in cooperatio with collectors, galleries, museums, NGOs like Latvian Artists Union, at centre VEF, art collection of the Zuzāns family, Māris Vītols art collection and Riga art galleries like „Rīgas galerija”, „Daugava”, „Alma”, „Galerija 21”, „Ivonnas Veihertes galerija”, „Māksla XO”, „Tifāna”, „Pegazs”, gallery „Ibid Projects” of London.
The exhibition is open until January 29, 2012.
